In 1932 after hoover people needed a new leader, who was known as a "do nothing president". Roosevelt won the elections of 1932 by promising a new deal. The republican reactions also helped him to won the election, however there are a lot of questions if he won due to the republican reactions or his own capacity 

In connection to hoover and the republican helped a lot roosevelt to win, hoover was the head of the republicans so he has the power to restart the economy in 1930 and 1931 by lowering the taxes, also tried to persuade businesses leaders, but all this things where useless due to the fact that he didn't achieved anyone, acording to hoover his main problem was the depression in usa because he did very little to help the people that were mainly influenced by it and that mined his reputation.

In connection to Roosevelt, he promised a democratic government because he know that people wanted a change, furthermore he stoped the depression by getting people back to work, protecting their savings and property, providing relief for the sick, old and unemployed and also getting american industry and agriculture back on their feet.

As a conclusion, we can say that Hoover actions helped Roosevelt a lot making people trust more in him.
